System modules

MES - manufacturing management
The central module of the smart factory records the production tasks, the information related to them and controls the implementation of the production plan. It includes the production phases, resources, the deadline of the production task, the drawing number, its structural location, and the necessary tooling.
Hierarchical BOM files can be loaded for manufacturing projects, manufacturing programs (CAM) can be loaded for tasks, and tasks can be assigned to resources. You can always know exactly where something is, what is happening to it, and what phases it has gone through so far. As a basic module, it contains the interface interfaces for all other modules or even the ERP system.

Terminal system
The terminal system enables manual data recording in production in addition to manual or non-system workstations. After the worker is uniquely identified, he receives his next task, which he can check whether he has the appropriate drawing in front of him and what tools need to be loaded into the equipment before starting. All information from production is immediately transferred to its place via the terminal, be it a start, a report on completion or even a fault report.

Automatic logistics and feeding system
Its goal is to deliver the right workpiece to the right processing point with as little human interaction as possible. A module that requires individual customization, it can also include an automatic material transfer track, robotic material handling, and a warehouse placement station. The automatic logistics system allows even one shift of colleagues to service two shifts of production.

Production optimization algorithm
Connected to the MES, it creates and continuously updates the optimal production plan. The production plan contains which manufacturing task should be performed by which resource and in what order.
This takes into account the minimum possible tool changes, material changes, project changes and of course deadlines. The module can be customized according to the implementing organization's own preferences.
The module was developed and licensed by the University of Pannonia for the VESZ-MONT smart factory system.

Smart cutter
At the beginning of the process, the smart cutting module performs a quality assurance and marking function. It measures the physical dimensions and weight of the cut material, identifies whether it meets the production task. If it does, it marks it, and if necessary, provides the workpiece with a unique identifier by laser engraving and/or label printing, which can be used to track it later in the process.

Additional adapter modules
The smart factory is a flexible ecosystem that can connect to other systems in addition to the smart factory's own modules. Production planning can be connected to an ERP system, logistics to a complementary warehouse management or high-bay storage system, even AGV. We can also find connections to existing manufacturing equipment, from robotic feeding to modern automatic machining stations that can be controlled completely from the system or to custom-made machines.
