Waterjet cutting is a multi-edged cutting technology in which cutting is performed with high-speed (500-1500 m/s) water or abrasive sand mixed with water. It allows the machining of 2D sheet metal profile parts, or in a simplified version, 1D linear cutting. The machine structure is the same as that of laser cutting, flame cutting, and plasma cutting machines.
