Screwdriving technology is used in many branches of industry, especially among users in the electronics, machinery and automotive industries, where continuous quality and reliability are essential requirements.
The bolting operation is the fastening of parts to each other with a non-destructive, force-locking connection, whereby the individual parts can be treated as if they were made of one piece. In the assembled unit, the pre-tensioning force of the bolts must reach a level that holds the unit together sufficiently firmly, but it must not exceed the permissible limit value.
During production, it is difficult to measure the preload force, so instead the proportional screw tightening torque and angle values are evaluated.
The areas of application of screwing technology are diverse, depending on the load, installation, and installation environment. The elements of the screw connection are diverse in terms of their shape and material.
Screwdriving equipment is manually, electrically or pneumatically driven. Their design is typically straight, right-angled or pistol.
Small quantities, short series and varied products are characterized by manual hand or built-in hand tools, while high productivity, large series are characterized by built-in manual screwdriving machines supplemented with a screw feeding system, or built-in partially or fully automatic equipment.
